In an event filled with excitement and camaraderie, Jeralene Acosta, from the School of Criminal Justice Education, and Ezekiel Uminga, a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English, emerged as Mr. and Ms. Sports 2024 during the Intramurals held at ISPSC Main Campus on October 21.

Candidates from four powerhouse colleges competed for the coveted titles, bringing a blend of charisma, intelligence, and sportsmanship to the stage. The competition not only highlighted the candidates’ personalities but also emphasized the importance of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in their thought-provoking responses.

Winning Answers That Captivated the Audience:

• Mr. Uminga: “As a future educator, I aim to provide quality education to help achieve the SDGs. As Nelson Mandela said, ‘Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.'”
• Miss Acosta: “Through unity, we can combat poverty and build a progressive community where no one is left behind.”

• First Runners-Up: Nicole Angela Pacquing and Crizjohn Paul Rebollido (Bachelor of Arts in Political Science).
• Second Runners-Up: Crystal Jean Mendoza (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) and Christian Galaites (School of Criminal Justice Education).
• Third Runners-Up: Chessy Ramirez (Bachelor of Arts in English Language) and Jennifer Natad (Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Filipino).
