In its steadfast commitment to promoting mental health and well-being, Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) will commemorate National Mental Health Week from October 28-31 with a series of engaging and meaningful activities across its colleges. Themed “It’s Time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace,” this celebration aims to raise awareness and encourage a healthy work-life balance.
Activity Highlights:
Mindful Monday:
Kicking off the week, students and employees are encouraged to wear green shirts to signify their support for mental health and recognize its critical importance in both personal and professional settings.
Twin Tuesday: “You are Not Alone”
Participants will pair up and dress in identical styles to promote solidarity and mutual respect, reinforcing the message that no one is alone in their mental health journey.
Wednesday: Art Appreciation and Listening Day
A webinar for employees will focus on creativity and active listening as tools for mental health improvement. This session aims to inspire a more mindful and empathetic workplace environment.
Feel Good Thursday: Mental Health Break Day
Employees and students will enjoy a designated day for relaxation and reconnection, encouraging everyone to take a step back from their busy routines and spend time with loved ones.
Why It Matters:
These activities underscore the importance of creating a supportive community that values mental health. By fostering solidarity, promoting creativity, and encouraging moments of rest, ISPSC seeks to cultivate an environment that prioritizes the well-being of its students and staff.
