On September 13, student leaders from various accredited and mandated organizations of Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College – Main Campus gathered at the campus gymnasium for the Oathtaking and Mass Induction Ceremony. Themed “Embracing Excellence, Pioneering Leadership Beyond Boundaries,” the event highlighted their commitment to good governance and service to the ISPSC community.

The program began with a formal processional led by the newly inducted student leaders alongside school officials. Inspirational messages were delivered by ISPSC officials, emphasizing the values of leadership, accountability, and collaboration.

Dr. Ana Marie Barroga, Vice President for Academic Affairs, extended her heartfelt congratulations, reminding the leaders of their vital role in fostering harmonious relationships with their peers.
Dr. Joemar J. Cabradilla, Dean of the Office of Student Affairs and Services, encouraged resilience, stating,
“Just hold on tight, because one of these days, you will experience challenges and you should emerge stronger than ever. Pinagkatiwala sa inyo ang liwanag upang kayo ang maging gabay ng mga kapwa niyo estudyante para sa maayos at may paninindigang pamamahala.”

Representing Campus Director Dr. Apolo S. Francisco, Dr. Jaime G. Raras, Dean of the College of Teacher Education, emphasized the sacrifices and fulfillment that come with leadership:
“Kailangan nating magtulungan. Oo, mahirap maging leader—isasakripisyo niyo ang inyong personal na kaligayahan. Pero ano nga ba ang inyong layunin, ‘yon ang makatulong sa iba. Serve others.”

Adding to the inspiration, Hon. Jhan Rey B. Gacula, SK Federation President of Candon City and ISPSC alumnus, urged leaders to focus on meaningful impact:
“Leadership is a call to action, create solutions, and build a better future.”

The ceremony concluded with closing remarks by Mr. Michael Jerrold F. Hadloc, Head of Student Welfare, followed by intermission performances from the student leaders, which added vibrancy to the occasion.

The event not only marked a formal step for the student leaders but also set the tone for their responsibilities as role models and catalysts for positive change in the ISPSC community.
